Sutton Barton, situated between the small market town of Honiton, famous for it's lace and as an antique centre and the small but pretty town of Colyton, offering the Colyton-Seaton tram ride, bike hire and pretty river walking, which you can get to by taking the Shute Exit of the A35 direction Axminster.

A little further and we have the Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage site. The resorts of Charmouth & Lyme Regis, famous for fossil hunting, and Lyme's Cob, Lyme Regis. Seaton with the pretty Axmouth estuary and harbour - ideal crab fishing.

Honiton, small Market town: Markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Farmer Market every 3rd Thursday of the month, 8.30 - 1.00pm; Sports Centre with swimming pool, Fitness Suite, Tennis Courts, Badminton & Squash Courts, Skate park available. One of the countries most popular antiques centres. Famous for Honiton Lace which is featured in the Allhallows Museum, visited by Princess Anne in 2005.

Beer - Pretty, still traditional fishing village and Branscombe and the popular Georgian town of Sidmouth. All this makes us in the ideal situation for coastal and other walks including the East Devon way, and a very popular cycling area.

Lovely National Trust houses and gardens are just a short drive away.
Further again we are within an hour of the 3 county towns of Exeter, Taunton, Dorchester.

Visit the cathedral of Exeter, with its Roman past, museums, theatres, university and shopping centres only 40 minutes by car. Further afield are the national parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor with its ever-changing scenery and wide open spaces or even a trip to Cornwall and the world famous Eden Project.
